Questions creators ask before signing up

The five objections that come up most often in the DM wave — accuracy, pricing, privacy, comparisons, and speed — answered up front.

1. How accurate is the model on Fortnite and FPS clutch moments?

ForgeClips is trained on FPS kill feeds, ELIMINATED banners, multi-kill streaks, and 1vX clutch round UI, with Whisper syncing in-game callouts into the frame timeline. Frame sampling is configured per game so kill rounds aren't skipped on fast-paced streams. Vision classifies each frame as a clutch event (kill, 1vX, ace, round win) or non-event and only the clutch frames are kept — same single-pass pipeline that powers our /vs comparison table.

2. Why does Pro cost $19/month?

Pro includes 50 clips per month, unlimited VOD length, priority processing, auto-burned subtitles, clutch-event detection, and a private clip library. Think of it as the price of one hour of editor time — the first Pro month pays back that hour once you average three clips a week, and stacks from there.

3. What happens to my VOD — does ForgeClips own it?

Your VOD is read for processing only — never rebroadcast, never rehosted, and never used to train shared models. Whisper transcription runs server-side and the transcript is not retained. Clips land in R2 under your own access URL with no ForgeClips watermark, no second-channel rehost, and no rights grab — the same clean-exports guarantee we list on /vs.

4. How is ForgeClips different from Opus Clip or Eklipse?

Opus Clip is built for talking-head long-form and has no Twitch VOD awareness — it mis-classifies FPS HUDs as talking heads and misses clutch events. Eklipse requires manual stream-window trimming and stitches highlights together rather than running the full VOD. ForgeClips is Twitch-native end-to-end Vision, processes full-length VODs in one pass, and never asks the creator to re-cut.

5. How fast does an upload and render actually take?

There is no upload step — paste a Twitch VOD URL on /demo and get a real extracted clip in your browser in under 30 seconds. Production clip jobs run through the process-clips cron, with priority queueing for Pro and Studio tiers. Average render-to-R2 for a 30-second clip window is under one minute end-to-end.
